Belgium

Cementir Holding has been present in Belgium since 2016 with the acquisition of Compagnie des Ciments Belges SA (CCB), a vertically integrated group operating in the cement, aggregates and concrete sectors. CCB has one of the largest and most efficient plants in Benelux, equipped with cutting-edge technology and large limestone reserves CCB.

Grey Cement

Located near the Escaut river and with a railway terminal inside the plant, the Gaurain-Ramecroix plant is one of the most modern and efficient in Europe, with a production capacity of 2.3 million tons of cement per year and a geographical position that allows distribution into the Belgian, French, Dutch and German markets. Adjacent to the cement factory, CCB has extensive proprietary limestone reserves. The range of cements produced by CCB is very wide ranging from type I Portland cements for concrete and precast products to special cements.

White Cement

The Group also operates in Belgium through Aalborg Portland Belgium, which markets and distributes Aalborg White® cement in the Benelux.

Concrete

CCB manages a concrete plants network both in Belgium and in Northern France. It offers different types of concrete, grouped in 8 product families, which correspond to as many market segments. The breadth of its offer is CCB’s distinctive feature, which in response to market needs, offers solutions for the most varied applications from road surface to foundations or decorative use.

Aggregate

CCB is one of the largest aggregate producers in Belgium, where it owns one of the largest European quarries (Barry) and operates the Milieu quarry in partnership with LafargeHolcim through its subsidiary Société des Carrières du Tournaisis (SCT). Milieu is today one of the largest aggregates production sites in Benelux with around 10 million tons extracted every year.

CCB offers a wide range of aggregates, ranging from products for the prefabricated industry, to those for asphalt and bitumen, for the production of concrete, for foundations and finally for particular applications such as mixtures and fillers.
