One Liberty Center - Arlington, VA
This project is an excellent representation of the elegance and richness of Architectural Precast. A balance of meticulous detailing and bold façade articulation was developed to make various elements function together as one successful whole. Deep precast recesses at the pedestrian level of the building function as a base and provide a comfortable rhythm as the building meets the sidewalk. Further upward, simpler patterns of openings work together to form the buildings façade and provide relief to an elegant cornice formed by the upper two stories where the project meets the skyline. A dramatically composed corner capped by an aggressive precast overhang form a strong corner entrance to a building that defines its surroundings.
